Milwaukee, WI — HSA Bank, a division of Webster Bank, N.A., today announced its renewed support for Mental Health America Lakeshore’s 18th Annual ‘There is Hope’ suicide awareness and prevention walk with a gold-tier sponsorship.

"Mental Health America Lakeshore provides the community with critical mental health resources, including efforts in suicide prevention, and we’re proud to extend our support so they can continue this important work," said Stephanie Meyer, HSA Bank Chief Marketing Officer. "HSA Bank’s annual Health & Wealth Index found that less than a third (27%) reported they received mental health coverage from employers. At HSA Bank, we put our clients at the heart of everything we do and giving back to the community to support mental wellbeing embodies our values and defines who we are as an organization."

The walk is scheduled to take place September 9, along the shore of Lake Michigan in Sheboygan. The event supports those who have experienced the tragic loss of a loved one due to suicide, provides the community a positive forum to support those who have faced mental health struggles, and raises funds to help local programming efforts around mental health and suicide prevention.

"We extend our appreciation for the ongoing financial support from HSA Bank, which aids us in progressing the mental well-being of our community through educational initiatives, empowerment, and support," said Julie Preder, Executive Director of Mental Health America Lakeshore. "The shared responsibility for suicide awareness emphasizes the need for every individual to play a role. HSA Bank consistently underscores the importance of mental wellness and early intervention."
